Employment-Based Immigration EB 1

You may be eligible for a first preference employment-based visa if you are a foreign national with extraordinary ability, an outstanding professor or researcher, or a multinational executive or manager.

Employment-Based Immigration EB 2

You may be eligible for a second preference employment-based visa if you are a professional with an advanced degree or its equivalent, or if you are a foreign national with exceptional ability.

Employment-Based Immigration EB 3

You may meet the requirements for this preference category of immigrant visa if you are a skilled worker, professional, or other type of worker.

  • Skilled workers are individuals whose jobs require a minimum of two years of training or work experience, not of a temporary or seasonal nature.
  • Professionals are individuals whose jobs require at least a U.S. bachelor’s degree or its foreign equivalent and who are members of the professions.
  • The other workers subcategory is for individuals performing unskilled labor that requires less than two years of training or experience, not of a temporary or seasonal nature.
